The route, running through Elizabeth St, New Town Rd and Main Rd, linking Hobart CBD and Glenorchy is Tasmania's busiest transport route... now, thanks to a Greens Sustainable Transport Minister, it's also Tasmania's bus-iest transport route.
Turn Up and Go is Hobart's new high frequency bus route between the Elizabeth St bus mall and the Glenorchy bus mall.
With frequencies no less than a bus every 10 minutes during the weekday peak hours of 7 am to 7 pm, a bus at least every 20 minutes every Saturday 7 am to 7 pm and a bus at least every half hour from first to last service outside these hours and on Sundays, Turn Up and Go makes traversing the Hobart-Glenorchy corridor simpler and faster.
It was under a Greens Sustainable Transport Minister that travelers between Hobart and Glenorchy could throw away the timetable and... Turn Up and Go.
The Tasmanina Greens know the importance of fast, reliable and affordable public transport in making cities happier and healthier places for people to live. Turn Up and Go is one part of making Hobart and Glenorchy even better places to live.
Greens in government - recognising good public transport is key to a healthier Tasmania, connected communities, and a cleaner environment.
